The origins of Chukoh Seiki Co., Ltd date back to April 1924 when the company started to supply plant equipment to the local ceramic industry in the prefecture of Mizunami-shi.

In its long history, the company changed with time, and during the Second World War mainly manufactured aircraft components. With the end of the war, Chukoh Seiki Co., Ltd continued to focus on the development, design and manufacture of highly efficient plant machinery and equipment for the ceramic industry.

To underline its abilities and knowledge gained in the year in the field of ceramics, the company linked up with NGK - a well known Japanese manufacturer of Spark Plugs - in August 1949. In close cooperation, both companies researched and developed new materials and advanced production methods - not only applied in this specialized industry - but in related industries as well.
